I made a quick stop at the estate sale with no particular item in mind. I just love estate sales. They are usually full of furniture, linens and lots of hidden treasures. I usually get extremely excited, like a kid in a candy store. I do a really quick walk through and pick up any item’s that I see right away. After my excitement cools off, I make another walk through and take a more detail look.
At this sale I didn’t see anything that I really needed. There was a ton of vintage sewing patterns and a lot of sewing supplies. I am trying really hard to not buy just to buy so I passed those up. As I walked outside I spotted this metal drawer organizer .
I had to take a double look when I saw the price tag said $2. I had noticed the bottom was rusted, but I figured with a little sand paper I could could sand it down and then just paint over it. I would have painted it anyway. Well, as soon as I started sanding, the bottom just crumbled apart. I was so sad. I might have ate a few cookies after this happened.
I couldn’t just throw it all away, so I decided to keep all the drawers. After spray painting them white, they turned out to be the perfect supply tray/divider inside my craft cabinet. Good thing it was only $2.
