2014 workshop wrap up + giveaway

What a great year it was for Be Crafty. Looking back at the year I am filled with so many emotions. If you would have asked me at the beginning of last year what I wanted to do with BE CRAFTY for the year I probably would have never imagined things would have turned out the way they did.

Besides creating and organizing pretty crafty parties and creating fun new projects, I had the opportunity to meet some amazing and creative ladies. Gathering a group of ladies to craft and connect with one another for an afternoon is what BE CRAFTY is about. I am so blessed by all of you who came out and spent your afternoon at the BE CRAFTY studio or traveled to attend one of our traveling workshops.

In 2014 BE CRAFTY travled to 5 workshops 2 of them being In Arizona where I was able to collaborate with an amazing group of bloggers who I look up to and and am inspired by daily. We traveled back to AZ in September for a fall inspired workshop with Maggie Holmes. I’m still dreaming of those big dream catchers we made.  In the late summer I traveled 6 hours to Northern MN to the White House Boutique farm and got messy painting and enjoyed shopping at the WHB girls vintage farm sale after the workshop.  The next weekend I hopped on a plane and traveled to Chicago to collaborate with the amazing Shop Sweet Lulu. Those girls sure know how to make a pretty party. Our final on the road workshop brought Lesley and I back together . We both drove close to the same amount of miles and met in the middle at Lincoln Nebraska. Jessica and I ended the year with our largest workshop held in the studio  with over 20 girls creating and painting handmade gift wrap.

I am so thankful to all who helped make BE CRAFTY a huge success in 2014. I could never do these workshops alone.  Thank you to all the behind the scenes helpers who helped clean up, carried bags full of supplies to set up and who are always supporting my crazy ideas. To all the photographers who captured our workshop behind the lens, thank you for spending the day with us and using your gifts and making our workshops look so pretty. To all the bakers and makers who severed treats to fill our bellies while we crafted. To all the handmade shops, THANK YOU for sponsoring our workshops. For staying up late and sending your product for our attendees to enjoy.  And finally, THANK YOU. For supporting BE CRAFTY and coming out to craft with us. I love spending my afternoons with you crafting and making pretty things.

I am so excited to start 2015 prepping for our first workshop that sold out within hours of posting. Since the beginning my goal will always be to bring women of all walks of life together for a afternoon of crafting and spending a afternoon together no matter what skill level. I can’t wait to see what 2015 has for us!!!!
