A pop of color with BEHR 2016 Color Trends

I think it’s  pretty obvious that I love a good pop of color .   I tend to gravitate to pinks, yellows and teals.  Earlier this year I wallpapered the back wall in my bedroom with Orla Kiely wallpaper. I honestly was a little nervous after opening the roll and seeing the big pattern and bright color.  I quickly fell in love.

Before adhering the wallpaper to the wall, I painted the reaming walls + my bedroom door a soft white ( polar bear by behr paint) .  After panting the walls white, the room felt so much cleaner and of course brighter.

I was provided product by BEHR to write this post but the thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

When the new 2016 Behr paint color trend colors were released I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Citronne T16-09 for the inside of my bedroom door. I have always wanted to paint a door a pop of color, and this was the perfect place to do that.

The Citronne color is a perfect shade of mustard yellow.

PAINTING TIP >> Use a variety of paint brushes.  I love using a larger angled brush for the bigger areas and a small brush for around the edges and round the door handle.

Today the BEHR diy expert bloggers have gathered together to share a variety of projects using the 2016 color trends. Lot of great inspiration you MUST check out.
