And we’re open !!!

You might have to pinch me as I am still in shock that this has really happened. For the last 2 years we have been working and dreaming on making this a reality.  We have been hoarding and filling our garages, spare bedrooms and basements just waiting to one day fill a store with our favorite vintage treasures .

It all started through social media  when I “met ” Katie. I was on my way to Fargo, ND to visit family when I sent Katie a message asking if she wanted to go junk hunting together . It just happened to be throw-out week in Fargo, a week where people put their unwanted items on the curb for others to take before the city dump trucks go around and pick up items for “free” —  It’s a junkers paradise.

Our friendship grew from there. We collaborated together over the last couple years  hosting a Be Crafty workshop out on the girls family farm to vintage sales in the studio .  We even opened a pop up vintage shop last Christmas.  This spring we officially joined forces to open a real brick and mortar shop, a dream we all have had.  It’s been a long journey but we are so excited to finally open the doors to our very own shop!!

We had a full celebration weekend with a family and friends on Friday night before we opened the doors to the public on Saturday. It was a night to thank everyone who’s come to  support us from helping with a paint brush ,lending a helping hand unloading the many u-haul trailers to giving a random hug in support and cheering us on.

We are all so excited for this next adventure together  !!! If your ever in the Fargo area make sure you stop in to say hello!!!

We are open Thursday-Saturday from 10am-6pm : 14 Roberts street N. Fargo, ND.

If you want to follow along you can see our weekly shop updates on Facebook: thewhitehouseco and Instagram @whitehouse.co

Here is a little peek into the store. Every Thursday we change things up so it never has looked the same since we opened . We bring in new product weekly and create new displays full of  vintage treasures . I am pretty sure our chippy mint metal cabinet is a favorite to everyone who walks in the doors.

My talented friend Lesley Zellers re-designed our logo for us. Her hand-lettering skills are amazing and I just love seeing it throughout the store on all our product !!!

We are completely in love with our space , but mostly we feel so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing neighbors. Right though the French doors on the back brick wall is our friend Christy of Love Always Floral. It’s so fun seeing all the pretty floral arrangements she creates . On the other side of us is Twenty Below coffee.. I mean could it get any better !!!

I am so excited for this next adventure, and hope you’ll continue to follow along !!! And  don’t worry I will still be sharing craft projects and DIY here on the blog when I am not working at the store!!!

nicoline bingham - Congrates Amanda and friends.Wishing i didn’t live thousands of miles away. Your store reminds me of a favourite of mine incase you wanted to check it out online. They have local artists and a rental component to theres. They also have a second store that they somehow rent out to about 10 vintage collectors that create there own area within the store. Anyways, thought you might like to check it out….they also use to do workshops in the back room. Ok, enough, check it out:https://spruce-collective.myshopify.com

Best of luck to you girls, your style is contagious, I am sure this will be a great chapter in your lives 🙂
