Bathroom Remodel Reveal

It’s finally here, can you believe it.  I am a little shocked myself too , mostly because I never imagined I would be able to completely remodel a bathroom myself . I can’t really say myself as my amazing mother offered a helping hand and was always quick to go look up  “how to” videos on  youtube.

For the past few years I  have wanted to remodel our dated 1990’s bathroom.  The price to get it professionally done was way out of my budget, and let’s be honest  I love a good DIY.

After helping my friend Ashley tile her kitchen backsplash this past fall, I learned a few tricks and came home feeling like I could finally tackle this monster of a project.

Incase you missed the in progress posts you can see part one here, and part two here.

bathroomcabinets copyThe painted counter top has been holding up extremely well.   The only down side, if you have dark hair , or get lots of dust in your bathroom it will show . I am constantly wiping the counter down. But the plus side, it’s super easy to wipe clean and has been scratch proof .

bathroom5The Wayfair tile is by far my favorite feature in the bathroom. I fell in with the bold vintage flower pattern.  It was exactly what I envisioned and dreamed of.   I have been so impressed with the high quality and durability.

I installed a new toilet paper holder in gold to match the rest of the bathroom fixtures. I decided to turn the holder upright to keep the roll from falling off .  Best decision ever !!!

bathroomtoiltpaperOn the opposite side of the bathroom counter is the shower and bathtub. I had a hard time finding a perfect picture for above the bathtub. After searching and not finding anything, I decided to try paint my own artwork. I was a little nervous, as I usually end up not liking what I do. But high five, I actually love how it turned out.

I found the hot pink towel at the thrift store and use it as a floor mat. The gold brass pot that holds the fiddle fig was also a thrifting find.

bathroomcropWith the pattern in the floor being so bold I really wanted to keep the rest of the bathroom simple. I am crossing my fingers I can keep that fiddle fig plant alive, so far so good . I noticed it is growing a new leaf, happy dance !!!! I must be doing something right !!!
