About a year ago I discovered the White House Boutique girls while searching online looking for antique and upcoming junk events. I secretly stalked their Facebook page (before Instagram) wishing we could be friends.
Fast forward to May, I was sitting in their truck driving around digging for junk at their local city clean out event in Fargo, ND. Our love for vintage and repurpose goods made us instant friends.
I was so honored when Katie asked me to bring BE CRAFTY to their farm during their last summer White House farm junk event. If you are in the Northern MN / ND area, check these girls out. They are crazy talented and have the best vintage goodies a girl dreams about!!!
We strung our lights, gathered Katie’s camper, brought the cupcakes and supplies for a fun and hot afternoon of crafting outside on the farm.
Everyone enjoyed ice cold raspberry lemonade in our Mason Bar jars and tried to stay cool from the hot sun.
The afternoon was spent learning different painting techniques along with making our very own chalk paint. Everyone got to choose from a unique selection of frames and created a painted chicken wire or chalkboard frame. We also created our own handmade laundry soap and painted mason jars to take it home.
We were so lucky to have the most amazing handmade shops share their goodies with us. A big thanks to :

- Recipe for Crazy
- Pretty Girl Designs
- Ann Kelle

If you haven’t visited their etsy shops, go. These girls are my favorite.
Days like this fill your heart.
A big thanks to Rosie for spending the afternoon with us. Her magic behind the camera amazes me, and we are so grateful for these images she captured. They remind us that we all need a little time set aside to create and bring a little more handmade into our lives.
