I can’t believe a week has already passed since our spring BE CRAFTY workshop. It was such a treat to have Maggie Holmes join us here in Minneapolis. I have been trying to get Maggie to come join us at the studio for awhile now. With a little convincing she agreed. I am so glad she did.
Our theme was vintage books, inspired by Maggie’s paper line with Crate Paper ; OPEN BOOK. We gathered vintage books to decorate the treat table and around the supply book shelf. We kept things simple using balloons and honeycomb balls from Shop Sweet Lulu to add a few pops of color.
The amazing Melissa from The Faux Martha spoiled us with her amazing handmade confetti sugar cookies. The cookies were stacked high on a cake stand which was placed on the vintage dresser . Pink lemonade was served along side with pink striped straws.
Name tags made out of vintage book paper were placed on a small coffee table next to the cutest wood box of felt flowers and was placed near the front door.
Supplies were placed in baskets and vintage milk glass containers throughout the studio. American Crafts and Crate Paper supplied a variety of the Open book collection papers and accessories for our vintage book turned planner project.
I think it’s safe to say we all stood and drooled over all the pretty Behr paint. Lots of photos were taken of the eye candy colors.
To top the day off, we finished our painted vintage book planners, crafted a set of 3 hexagon tile magnets and even got to sew a key fob. It was a beautiful day in the BE CRAFTY studio, filled with the sweetest group of ladies.
A big thanks to Maggie for coming and for everyone who gave her a warm Minnesota welcome. I am so grateful for her friendship and partnership in BE CRAFTY. Thanks to The White House girls who brought their cute sign for us to use during the workshop. And lastly, to everyone who came and spent the day crafting with us. I am so inspired by all of you and can’t wait to see you at our Christmas workshop on December 12th
