Let’s go Camping

Well friends, you are in for a fun surprise today !!!

Remember a few months ago when Katie and Sam from The White House Co. and I decided to buy a vintage Shasta camper to renovate!!! I know it’s been awhile. If you missed the before photo’s take a trip back here .  After many cans of spray paint the final reveal is here !!!

We went in circles trying to decided what color we wanted to paint the exterior . After lot’s of discussion we decided we wanted to keep it simple and clean.  White with a gold accented wing.  I couldn’t love it more.

Once we had everything pretty much done we decided to add a pop of color on the interior of the door by painting it pink.

With the camper only being 14 ft long we knew creating outdoor seating area was a must !!! As much as we love the inside, you can’t beat sitting outside enjoying  and soaking in the fresh air.

We found this  hammock chair over on Wayfair and just LOVE IT !!!!  It’s extremly light weight making it easy to pack in the camper to bring along on trips . We also got a metal stand for the chair for when we are not near a big tree or to bring along to the lake!!!

Let’s take a moment to soak in all the white !!! The kitchen area along with the exterior were the two main area’s to get the biggest transformation.  We painted everything white including using appliance paint for the stove . The stove brackets were  brought to get powder coated. Powder coating is a painting process that is a more durable paint then spray paint and will hold up to hight heat from the stove.

We also covered the counter with marble contact paper and added hexagon tile back splash behind the stove which we also got from Wayfair !!!

The last big project we tacked was replacing the floor. We did a lot of research on flooring that would hold up to a lot of traffic and found this beautiful laminate over on Wayfair !!!  We love Wayfair for it’s high quality in products and range in products they carry.

This was the first time we installed laminate flooring and it was SO EASY!!!  I believe Katie has become the master pro !!  I would listen from outside of the camper for Katie to yell out measurements from inside the camper .  I would cut each laminate peice with the circular saw and she would piece them together inside  !!  It was a team work effort!!

With the temperatures acting like spring this week we can’t wait to take the Shasta out for another fun adventure!!

This post was sponsored by Wayfair . Thanks for supporting the brands that keep this blog rocking!!! To see more before photo’s  from our renovation be sure to visit the Wayfair Ideas & Advice page for more on our camper restoration.
