Vintage cart makeover

Yesterday I hit the jackpot at the thrift store when I stumbled upon a vintage laundry basket cart for only $10. I was the annoying customer dragging around the cart with the squeaky wheels.

A year or so ago I had found a similar cart on Craigslist and ended up selling it . I totally regretted it. I knew I would find another , I am so happy I finally  did .

I always love seeing a before and after . Usually I am so excited to get painting that I forget to take a before photo . Luckily I snapped one at the thrift store.

Once I removed the metal basket  I spray painted the metal stand with a glossy white spray paint. After letting it dry I tapped around the edges of the wheels and spray painted the wheels gold.

Within a couple hours the spray paint had dried and the cart  was ready to be put to use !! I can’t get over how fancy she is now.

I have been buying all the yarn in preps for the upcoming workshop I will be teaching at in San Diego later this month with The Queen Bee Market.

And Can you believe over half of those yarns we also found at the thrift store. Always treasures to be found !!!

This cart is going no where anytime soon. I have a feeling I will find lots of thing to fill it up with .
