wrap it – Blog Hop

Can you believe next week is Christmas already. This time of year can get overwhelming. Cookies to bake, parties to attend and my most favorite gifts to wrap.

Today I am excited to be joining a few of my favorite girls for a fun blog hop sharing a few gift wrapping idea’s. I am always inspired by these ladies and I know you will be too. Make sure to on over to their blogs to see how they are gift wrapping this Christmas.  Ashely Campbell, Maggie Holmes , Dear Lizzy and Shop Sweet Lulu

This year I am loving this gold star gift wrap from Target.  I made sure to grab two rolls of in the beginning of December as I knew it be popular. Last year I did a lot of gifting with kraft boxes so I wanted to do something different this year.

Once I had my package all wrapped I grabbed a bunch of supplies and began layering. I began with a large white paper doily. I then added a piece of music paper I cut in the shape of a banner flag. On top of the banner flag I added a coffee filter that I crunched together to look like the top of a prize ribbon.

Using two different sized cupcake liners I then added those to the top and finished it off with a bow stamp.

TIP >>>>>> I use my hot glue gun for EVERYTHING including wrapping my gift.

Once my gift was all wrapped I used my typewriter to type a Christmas note to add to the top of my package.

To create my tag that I used for typing, I simply used a white tag and sectioned it off diagonally with washi tape.  Using Behr paint I painted one size of the tag leaving the other side white. Let your tag try before typing , If you don’t have a typewriter try using stamps to create the same look !

I think there will be lots of coffee filter toppers being made this Christmas.
