Summer is officially here !!!
After a long and painful winter I couldn’t be happier to welcome back the warm weather .
Recently I taught myself how to make a zipper pouch, I am not sure why I waited so long because oh my goodness is it easy and SO FUN( I followed this amazing video) !!! I have been saving all my fabric scraps for this day which means I will be making everyone in the neighborhood a pouch this summer. They are great for putting in your purse , beach bags and suitcases.
I love adding a little note to each of my gifts . Using pattern paper from Maggie Holmes flourish I typed a message using my typewriter and then cut my scrap piece of paper in a flag shape. Using my stapler I attached a vintage iron on patch to the paper. I love mixing vintage in all my projects.
My top flag was made from a scrap piece of fabric with iron on letters. To finish I used a small gold hoop clothespin with two small tassels . I then attached the 2 flags together to the pouch.
This was such a fun and easy project and best of all, it used up all my random scraps of fabric and paper !!!
