The golden can

A few nights ago we made a pot full of our favorite pumpkin soup. I’m not joking when I say I could eat soup every day until Thanksgiving. I love warming up to a big cup of homemade soup.
Re-using cans is a great way to craft and recycle. With the Be Crafty workshop just a few weeks away, I thought I would plant a few succulents to use for decoration.
Since I am re-using, and keeping this a low budget project, I only used supplies I currently have.  This metallic gold spray paint by Rust-olum is my favorite (usually found at home-depot or wal-mart). Give the cans 2 good coats of paint and let them dry for an hour.
Once the paint dried, I started adding trim and lace.  Using paper doilies is a inexpensive way to decorate any project.
As you can see I just kept adding layers on top of layers. I love these stamped tags from Oh Hello Friend. I think I might have to start saving cans for future gift giving.

There you go. A simple and easy project to pretty up any soup can.
