It’s finally here, sorry to keep you waiting so long.

I have been working on my apartment bathroom renovation for the last couple of months and I am so happy to report it’s finally done !!! All the praise hands for a completed project.  I shared all the before/progress and today I am so excited to share all the final details.

The all over white space is so dreamy .  My main inspiration for this room was my vintage paint by number swan photo . I really tried to keep everything else simple and stayed true to the vintage colors in the painting when choosing accent paint colors for the sink cabinet.

Let’s talk a little about this amazing faucet by Kohler !!! I am not going to hold it in , I LOVE IT !!!!!!  I have dreamed of a brass faucet for awhile and when I say I love it, I am not joking.  I was a little nervous when I ordered so much gold. Would it all be to much ? Would the gold tones match up ?  Once I got everything installed it all came together exactly how I envisioned .  The gold defiantly has a powerful statement but since I don’t have a lot of “fillers”  It fits the space perfectally !!

But the floors!!!!  A big focal point to the room.  This is one of the biggest transformations that helped changed this small space. I decided to go with a classic white 2 inch hexigon tile with a silver gray grout. One of my only regrets in the entire space was not using the mid- gray grout. I didn’t want anything super dark, but the silver color is super close to white and I think I would have been happier if it was just a little darker. I added fun pattern rug to bring in a little more pattern.

This project couldn’t be complete without a little pink !!! I added pink towels to the simple towel hooks near the shower. I am so glad I choose the round hooks vs. a bar.

I have had so much fun working on this project and I am so happy with how everything turned out !!! Thanks for stopping over and taking a peek inside my bathroom makeover. I still can’t believe it finally is finished.  I can’t wait to hear what you think !!!

If your in the market to get your hands dirty and D.I.Y your bathroom help yourself out and head on over to Wayfair !!!! I have never been disappointed by their amazing products and quality.

In early November I finally made the big move from Minnesota to Fargo, ND to be closer to The White House Co. business . Over the past year I had been commuting back and forth.  I couldn’t be more excited to finally be closer to our shop and vintage rental business.

Although I still have my house in Minnesota I needed a more permanent living space in Fargo. As you can imagine, going from living in a house to an apartment was big adjustment especially for someone like myself  who loves to decorate and remodel.  Luckily, A friend of mine who runs management for a small complex downtown gave me permission to help update the space when I moved in, which is a win win for both !!!

I picked out a few paint colors for inspiration.

Just look at these before photos , so outdated plain and brown !!!!

One of the first steps was painting all the walls white and removing the wall trim and linoleum to lay 2 inch white hexagon floor tile. I did this step in stages mostly because the linoleum was so hard to pull off.  Luckily my apartment is on the lower lever so the original floor is cement which saved me from having to put a cement backer board down.

Once all the floor tile was installed I removed the old sink and replaced it with a new white sink. If you look closely you can see where the old sink back splash was removed with the old sink and the new sink now lays flat on the vanity.  The change of sinks will now allow me to tile the wall with subway tile.

Amazing what a little paint can do, I love the new look of the vanity vs the oak wood.  I added new Kohler knobs to the doors to match the new faucet.

Every rooms needs something vintage, this paint by number has been the main inspiration for this bathroom makeover !!!!!

I can’t wait to show you the final makeover very soon, until then hop on over to wayfair to get all the supplies you need to transform your next DIY project.

The countdown is on, we are patiently waiting for spring. This winter has been long, full of lots of cold days where you don’t want to even leave your house.  Today the weather finally got to 40 degrees , the sun was shinning and I felt a little hope that spring is on it’s way.

I am so over the snow and brown grass , I need color.

Whenever I am at the thrift stores I love picking up random colored candle sticks. I finally got a nice collection gathered and thought It would be so fun to put them on the table with my new Article pink chairs.

I love the simplicity of it all.

The pink article chairs really pull everything together with their sleek modern lines .

I just love all the bright colors, I think I got my Easter table scape already done !!!!

I have been working like crazy trying to make my new apartment feel like more like home . I went through over 6 gallons of paint turning the walls from poop brown to bright white!! What an amazing difference a little paint can make.  ( I will be sharing more soon )

To cover up a big electrical box I bought a big ikea frame and made this inspirational print , because let’s be honest we all need a little encouragement !!!

I got lots of requests on Instagram asking where the print was from and lucky I made it and am sharing it with you today!!! I would love to see your prints once you have them printed to make sure to tag me so I can see!!!

*printing suggestions: The print is sized to 18×24 so it is already to be printed. I print at office max and ask for the blue print paper which only costs $5 !!!!
