This hutch had been in their family for years. I feel so lucky to have it in my home. It was in a desperate need to be cleaned and sanded. Once all the dirty work was done I sprayed the inside and painted the outside white.
Usually, I try to repaint existing knobs or find cheap knobs at Hobby Lobby. Since the hutch was free I splurged a little, and took a trip to Anthropologie to pick up some new knobs. I always have a hard time deciding on knobs. I took a risk this time and went with all different colors. I usually like to have a matching pair, but since there was only three knobs I think the miss match works.
The little white hutch has quickly found a new place in our house. I am in love. I am excited for our next party where she just might have to hold drinks and pretty straws!!
A new white hutch
I think it is well known that I love a furniture makeover. Seeing a piece go from ugly to pretty all within a few coats of paint. Last week I received a call asking if I would like a free hutch from a family friend's mom whom was moving out of her house. I, of course said YES. I never turn down free. After seeing a quick iphone picture, I was in love with this little hutch and couldn't wait to get my hands dirty!!
Looks like I forgot to take our 4th of July star banner down !!!
