egg cartons and pinwheels

After waking up to 8-10 inches of fresh snow on the ground, I was in desperate need of some spring crafting.

I haven’t posted many DIY posts lately. I have been so busy prepping for upcoming workshops, that I just haven’t had time. I find it so easy to quick take a photo on my phone and post it over on instagram.

This projects is super simple, and hardly costs anything.  I have been saving egg cartons for awhile since Easter is just around the corner. The ones I used are from Trader Joes. I like them best because they are covered on top.

The gold carton I used a metallic Rustoleum spray paint The peach carton I used regular paint ( shown below). I am a huge fan of buying paint at the hardware store in sample containers. The color sections are endless and you get way more for your dollar.  I added a few paper pinwheels with Dear Lizzy paper and used lace and ribbons I had on hand.

This project is endless and is full of possibilities.

Inside I placed plastic eggs full of mini craft supplies : gold glitter clothes pins, mini rolls of washi tape, lace and stickers. A perfect Easter/Spring gift for any crafty friend.
