From curbside to studio

A couple weekends ago, I joined The White House Boutique girls in Fargo, ND for a full weekend of junk collecting. Yes, I drove 3 hours to collect free junk off other peoples driveways. It was well worth it. We had so much fun driving around looking through other peoples junk piles, and I am really wishing our city would do a city clean-up too .

And just the other day while driving to the post-office I saw another chair lying on the side of the road. I of course slammed on the brakes and picked it up.

I will admit, I haven’t parked in my garage all spring. Painting projects have taken over, and so have the chairs. For me, painting is a stress reliever.

I get asked quite often what type of paint I use. Every project is different, and usually depends on what I have on hand!!!  Above the yellow chair was painted with Annie’s Chalk paint, the blue chair was spray painted with Valspar spray paint and then sanded down to look antique. The peach chair was behr sample paint I had left over from the last workshop.

Last weekend I brought all the chairs to the studio as Jeff, Jessica and I are working on giving the studio a little makeover.  I finally convinced Jessica to paint the brick wall white.

There is still some work to be done, but I am pretty excited to see how it’s all coming along.  If you are ever in the Minneapolis area, and need a studio space we would love to have you.

And if your wanting to join us for a workshop we would love to meet and craft with you!!  New workshops dates have been announced here!!!
