Time to Make the bathroom Pretty , with Wayfair ( part one) !!

In early November I finally made the big move from Minnesota to Fargo, ND to be closer to The White House Co. business . Over the past year I had been commuting back and forth.  I couldn’t be more excited to finally be closer to our shop and vintage rental business.

Although I still have my house in Minnesota I needed a more permanent living space in Fargo. As you can imagine, going from living in a house to an apartment was big adjustment especially for someone like myself  who loves to decorate and remodel.  Luckily, A friend of mine who runs management for a small complex downtown gave me permission to help update the space when I moved in, which is a win win for both !!!

I picked out a few paint colors for inspiration.

Just look at these before photos , so outdated plain and brown !!!!

One of the first steps was painting all the walls white and removing the wall trim and linoleum to lay 2 inch white hexagon floor tile. I did this step in stages mostly because the linoleum was so hard to pull off.  Luckily my apartment is on the lower lever so the original floor is cement which saved me from having to put a cement backer board down.

Once all the floor tile was installed I removed the old sink and replaced it with a new white sink. If you look closely you can see where the old sink back splash was removed with the old sink and the new sink now lays flat on the vanity.  The change of sinks will now allow me to tile the wall with subway tile.

Amazing what a little paint can do, I love the new look of the vanity vs the oak wood.  I added new Kohler knobs to the doors to match the new faucet.

Every rooms needs something vintage, this paint by number has been the main inspiration for this bathroom makeover !!!!!

I can’t wait to show you the final makeover very soon, until then hop on over to wayfair to get all the supplies you need to transform your next DIY project.
